Stephanie founded Artemis Talent Partners to combine the skill set and network she’s developed over the last 15 years in retained search with a much more flexible and nimble approach. She began her career in executive search in 2005 at Morgan Samuels Company, where she learned the mechanics of a very process-driven, “lean sigma” approach. That approach, while fast and efficient, left little room for creativity. She then joined Westwood Partners in 2008 and spent the last twelve years completing searches in the asset management and banking industries. The first half of this time was spent working on Analysts/Portfolio Managers and Sales/IR roles, then in the last half of her time at Westwood Partners, she helped create a successful Infrastructure practice. While some search professionals feel proud of “only” placing senior level executives, Stephanie has a real passion for connecting with people at all levels. Her broad range of experience has created a rich and deep network that helps her every day in sourcing and evaluating top candidates.
Stephanie realized her passion for search while working for two technology starts-ups in the San Francisco Bay Area: eGroups, purchased by Yahoo! in 2001, and Tellme Networks, purchased by Microsoft in 2007. While her function at each was “business development”, she found that her passion became recruiting new talent to each firm and “connecting” people in general. Before joining the start-up scene in San Francisco, Stephanie received an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is also a recovering CPA from Ernst & Young and attended Rutgers University for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated with High Honors.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, riding her Peloton, and making up for lost time (spent commuting to New York City) with her husband and two young girls.
